Once upon a time...

The remaining days that I am to spend in ISNHS are numbered. In just a few months, I will be entering a whole new world. I always think about my future, even when I'm asleep. One night, when I kissed my pillows and drifted into unconsiousness, I saw a woman.
The woman stoop down her silver, expensive-looking car. She entered a building and walked through the crowded corridor. The tik-tok of her shoes broke the silence in an office filled with desks, computers and employees. Her Secretary was waiting for her for she needed to sign some documents for her trip toParis with her family. She is the Associate editor of a well-known magazine and at the same time, the legal counsel of the company where she is working. She started working on some papers and sipping a hot cup of capuccino immediately after she sat down her cozy chair. After a few hours, she went out and had lunch with her best friends. I saw my best friends and some of my classmates. The girl was laughing with them. Then I dumbfoundedly realized that the girl I was dreaming of was me. Not exactly me, but a mature, sophisticated, and professional me.
Whenever I remember that dream, I find myself smiling. It's an impossible-to-the-nth power dream. Before, I even thought it was absurd. But now, I'mall fired up to try reaching for it. With the help of God, I know that I can turn these dreams into reality.
I AM THE MASTER OF MY FATE. I AM THE CAPTAIN OF MY SOUL.

Let's Work It Out!

"Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one" to quote a familiar Lennon tune. Sometimes I feel like I wanna sing the song with all my heart because the lyrics says it all.

Today, we can't really say that our country is a 'peaceful' place. Where can we find a peaceful place, anyway? Look around. You might see something that you've been missing for a long time. It's not heaven here on earth.

As a student, I am aware of my responsibilities. I study not only because I want to earn money. It's because I want to save my country in the future as well. I don't dream of becoming a leader or a politician someday. But I take part in leading my fellow students by joining clubs, programs and campaigns today. I serve as a role model to the youngsters by studying hard and loving nature.

The destruction of nature is also one of the scorching hot issues of today. Mother Earth is fighting for her life, and so are we. As the sons of God, we must be the caretakers of his creations. But what are we doing? We're the ones destroying them. That is why one of my responsibilities is to help Mother Earth breathe by planting trees and not using materials that contains CFC's to minimize pollution.

Everyone can do something. Let's do our 'something' even if it's small. I'm sure it can make a big difference.
Together we can make our country a better place. And with the help of God, who knows, we might even change the world.

Just One More

The days that I am to spend in ISNHS are NUMBERED. I totally don't wanna count.
The past few months seems like a blur to me. I can't really give a good, detailed overview of what happened last 3rd grading but I believe I remember some things.
I really love blogging but sometimes, during the 3rd grading period to be specific, I found it hard to post because of some activities that interfered with my class schedule. Well, I don't blame those E.C.Activities because I learned a lot from them. And it's also because of the Christmas vacation. When you're days before the Christmas vacay, you must admit, you can't prevent your mind from thinking of the fun that you'll be experiencing during your vacay.
The P.T. was difficult, too. Not because the lessons were really difficult but because I missed some of our discussions because of, again, other activities.
Nevertheless, I really had a great time during the 3rd grading. Even though I wasn't able to give my best last 3rd grading, I'll make up for it this 4th grading. I hope so.:)

Jingle Bell Rock

I can feel the cool wind against my skin. I can see lights flashing on and off. I can hear the sweet voices of children caroling and "Jingle Bell Rock" playing on the radio. I can smell the scent of pines hanging in the air. It's Christmas time.
Years ago, Christmas for me is hanging socks on the window, waitinh for Santa Claus until I fall asleep and waking up with a grin on my face knowing that Santa dropped a gift on my sock.
Years after, I haven't discovered yet the real meaning of Christmas. But I found out that there's really NO SANTA CLAUS. It was just my parents and grandparents who we're putting 100 peso bills on my sock every other day.(hahahahahaha!)
Now, I know the real meaning of Christmas by heart. Christmas is NOT about the competition on who's house has the prettiest decoration, who's family prepared the most delicious food or who received more gifts. The true meaning of Christmas is sharing what we have to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
One of our Christmas traditions is attending "Misa de Gallo" before Christmas. This just proves that Christmas is the time when all people come together to worship Jesus Christ.

Birthday Blues

I have so much to say in this particular entry. It's because November's a very special month to me.
November 13
[It's my sixteenth birthday. It was supposed to be a blissful day. Unfortunately, it wasn't because it was the last day of our adviser, Mrs. Josephine Parel, in teaching service. We planned a short but meaningful send off party for her.]
In the morning of Nov. 13, I was walking down the Juniors Park on my way to our room. I was smiling at my classmates 'coz I was expecting them to "GREET" me. To my surprise, I was already walking past them but I haven't heard a single birthday greeting yet. Just 'Good mornings' and 'hellos' but no 'Happy Birthday'. When I reached our room, a close friend of mine greeted me but still, the others did not. Oh, I was sure many of them know the exact date of my birthday! I just said to myself, "Maybe they're just SOOO consumed by the fact that today is the retirement day of Ma'am Josie." I couldn't seem to argue with that.
I felt really bad so I went to IV-Marconi's room. My best friends and close friends greeted me. I was shocked when I saw others' heads turn to look at me. They started yelling Happy Birthday. They even sang Happy Birthday. I was deeply touched. "How can these people sing Happy Birthday for me while own my classmates don't even seem to care?," I thought. I thanked them for doing such thing. When I returned to our room, they stared at me in disbelief. OH I KNOW THEY FORGOT MY BIRTHDAY. The next thing I remember, I heard "Happy Birthday!!!" here, there, and everywhere. They sang Happy Birthday, too. Then I was teary-eyed. I was touched. I was moved. Then I whispered, "I still love you, guys, even if you forgot."

I've got 1 word to sum up everything that we did in TLE during the second grading period: FUN
Yep, TLE is fun. I learned all about tags which as so amazing. Now I can pimp my Friendster profile with those tags. I can change the color and sizes of texts. We even discussed the kinds of tags which are stand alone and container.
We continued blogging. It's fun to read each others' blogs. Everyone's got great ideas, opinions and insights about things.
Everything was right until I took the Periodical test. Gosh, it was so difficult. hehe. I'm sure I got a crap score.
Moving on, I'll try to grasp every detail discussed.
But that's life.. You win some, you lose some.

SuperMa'am & SuperSir

"Good Morning Ma'am" i greeted my teacher this morning.

As I was walking, my mind wandered.
I realized that i greeted an angel. Oh, not an angel. A SUPERHERO.

So, what is a Superhero?

A Superhero basically someone who saves people. A Superhero flies and is powerful. But for me, a Superhero doesn't have to fly or posses super strength. A Superhero is someone influential and helpful. One who is selfless and understanding.

A TEACHER IS THE BEST EXAMPLE OF A SUPERHERO.

We stay in school for 9 hours during weekdays. We meet our teachers everyday but we seldom recognize them for their efforts and thank them for the knowledge and skills that they impart. Sometimes, we need to make them feel that the things they give and offer are appreciated.

When we grow up, we might not see them or meet them anymore but the things that we have learned from them will always be there.

Education is the most valuable thing.
