I am a Filipino, I SPEAK Filipino.

One thing that I noticed in our school is that, students can communicate well with others using the Filipino language. This might not sound like a big deal but I think that we are lucky for we can speak fluently in Filipino. In some areas of the Philippines, people doesn't know how to speak Tagalog. Others Filipinos prefer using the English language.

The Filipino language is not just a language. It is our identity. It is a tool which we can use to introduce ourselves to other nations. It was made for us Filipinos that's why we should be proud of it by using it. By using it, we are showing our love for our country. We are being patriotic.

Our language is unique. If the Chinese speak Mandarin, Japanese-Niponggo, France-French, then we Filipinos have our FILIPINO language. We don't deserve to be called Filipinos if we don't even speak Tagalog/Filipino. As people of the Philippines we should take pride of our culture.

The Filipino language is not just something to speak. It is our identity.

IT'S US.
